Product Description:
Solution Mountain Business Retention and Economic Impact Solution (“BREIS”). This turn-key solution retains local businesses by developing and applying local resources. In 60 days BREIS gathers key information about business trends and economic health. The solution engages at-risk businesses, establishes a risk mitigation program to keep threatened businesses alive, and reports how local companies are realigning to meet changing conditions. The solution grows business to add new tax revenues, jobs, education and government stability. BREIS has five components:

Process and Timeline:
BREIS is a 5-step process as follows:

1. Business Assessment – Key business questions focus on projected and historical revenues, employment, facilities, financing and supply chain. Obtains commitments from key stakeholders to engage in risk mitigation activities. “Today, leaders need to understand how their local companies are realigning their products, markets and labor force to meet changing conditions…and also, how they are not.”
2. Analyze Community Business Fabric - Launch online survey and local marketing program to encourage participation from the community’s residents and businesses. “Every job in every county produces different impacts on the business fabric. Understanding these influences is vitally important to economic development professionals”.
3. Maximize Economic Potential - Prepare assessment and risk aversion plan including business-by-business report of economic trends and conditions, key business purchasing practices, identification of critical business needs all combined with solutions that mitigate business risks. “Communities need to identify which of their businesses are at risk, predict the economic impact of these risks, and in these difficult times retain businesses that otherwise would fail”.
4. Identify and Engage Growth Candidates - Analyze data collected from the Business Assessment to recommend candidates for an accelerated business expansion solution. Companies choose to participate in a program to increase their competitiveness, sales and technical development. “Communities can activity nurture their businesses. Apply technical assistance and research at the right time, you reap new jobs and increased taxes.”
5. Measuring the Program’s Impact the Solution uses IMPLAN datasets to help measure and track the jobs, tax revenues and other benefits generated by the Program. “We achieve a new level of understanding each time truth overwhelms doubt”
